Leading engineering consultancy requires a Principal Electrical Engineer. The work includes all aspects of the electrical and mechanical (E&M) infrastructure necessary for their successful operation. We are seeking a principal electrical engineer to take a leading role in this business stream. The successful candidate will report to a Business Stream Leader and be based in our Croydon office. He/she will act as a professional head for electrical engineering. He/she will lead the electrical aspects of projects of all sizes, from concept design to commissioning. He/she will lead electrical and mechanical teams working on major multi-discipline design projects. He/she will supervise and check the work of junior engineers and support their professional development in respect of electrical design. The successful candidate will be expected to develop relationships with key clients and continue to promote company effectively and the services we offer. He/she will be expected to play a key role in business development. The successful candidate will be expected to develop the staff working for him/her to create and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships. Candidate SpecificationCandidate specification: The candidate will ideally: • Have proven experience in the design and management of electrical and mechanical projects. • Have design experience related to road tunnels, rail tunnels and metro systems. • Have team leadership experience. • Have the ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing. |
